A glass column that holds the light

Taking ancient doric columns as a reference, I have designed a very simple yet elegant table lamp. A fluted glass tube holds a lighting crossbeam, like columns a building.

The DORIC table lamp follows the tradition of Venetian mouth-blown glass but with a contemporary reinterpretation. Its light source is judiciously inserted into the brushed brass "handle", going through the glass on its upper part. The downlight emitted through the glass creates a beautiful mood light for a bedroom or a small living room. Even if it looks like a portable light, it is not designed to be mobile... Clever, it can also be reversible….
